The Isleton-Brannan-Andrus Historical Society (IBHS) is a non-profit organization located in Isleton, California that works to preserve and promote the history of the Isleton area. Founded in 1982, the Society is dedicated to researching, collecting, preserving and sharing the history of Isleton, Brannan, and Andrus Island.
The IBHS operates a museum at the historic Isleton Depot, which includes a variety of displays, artifacts and photographs. The museum is open on the first Sunday of each month and offers guided tours by appointment. The IBHS also offers educational programs, field trips, and lectures to share the local history with schoolchildren, businesses and the general public.
The Society is actively involved in restoring and preserving local historical sites, such as the Isleton-Brannan-Andrus Cemetery. The IBHS also organizes a variety of special events, such as the annual Isleton Crawdad Festival and the popular Roar 'n' Soar antique aircraft show.
The IBHS is committed to preserving the rich history of the Isleton area and strives to ensure that future generations have access to the unique culture and heritage of the area. Through its efforts, the IBHS is helping to ensure that the Isleton area will be able to remember and appreciate its past for many generations to come.
