Stand-up Comedian Non-breeding Laughing Gull, <i>Leucophaeus atricilla megalopter</i>, not sure about the subspecies. First serious attempt at gull ID years ago on the Atlantic Coast drove me crazy, because the juveniles, 1st-year, 2nd-year, and non-breeding adults all look different from each other and the breeding adult shown in the guide. Any Old Branch Will Do Tree sloth in the rain forest pyramid at Moody Gardens in Galveston, Texas The rain forest pyramid is set up to look like a tropical rain forest, with tall trees and tropical plants of many kinds. This animal usually hangs out in the upper canopy of the trees and seldom comes out to where it can be seen this clearly. I felt very fortunate to see it at all and can only wonder why it decided to move to this spot.
