The Troup Genealogical-Historical Society is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to preserving the history and genealogy of the city of Troup, Texas. Founded in 1996, the Society is made up of local residents, genealogists, and historians who are interested in the history of the city and its people. The Society’s mission is to collect, preserve, and share the history of Troup and the surrounding area.

The Society is located in downtown Troup, in the old First National Bank building. The building has been renovated to become a research center and museum, where visitors can learn about the history of Troup.
