The Anderson Historical Society (AHS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the history and culture of Anderson, California. Founded in 1994, AHS is dedicated to collecting, preserving, and interpreting the history of this small town in Northern California. AHS’s collection includes photographs, artifacts, documents, and other artifacts related to the history of Anderson and its surrounding counties.

AHS maintains a museum in the former Anderson Town Hall, which functions as both a research center and an exhibit space. The museum has permanent displays focusing on Anderson’s history, including its early days as a mining town, its role in the development of the railroad, and its growth and development throughout the 20th century. The museum also features temporary exhibits and programs, such as lectures, workshops, and community events.

In addition to its museum, AHS organizes a variety of educational programs and activities, such as walking tours, field trips, and educational presentations.
