The Taylor Conservation and Historical Society, located in Taylor, Texas, is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the history and cultural heritage of the area. Founded in 1967, the Society's mission is to identify, collect, preserve and promote the history and culture of the residents of Taylor and Williamson County. The Society works to preserve the history of local families, businesses, schools, churches, organizations and other aspects of the local community.

The Society has a museum located in downtown Taylor, which houses a collection of artifacts, photographs and documents from the area. The museum also houses a research library which includes publications, books, maps and other documents pertaining to local history. The Society also offers a speaker's bureau, which provides lectures and presentations about Taylor's history for schools and other organizations.

The Society also participates in various events throughout the year, including the annual 'Taste of Taylor' festival, which includes live music, food, and craft demonstrations. The Society also organizes the annual Taylor Homecoming Festival, featuring a parade, carnival, art show and more. The Society also sponsors a number of other events, such as the Taylor Heritage Day, the Taylor Music Festival and the Taylor Cowboy Breakfast.

The Society also operates a number of educational programs, such as the Taylor History Summer Camp, which provides young students with an opportunity to learn about local history and culture. The Society also provides tours of historic sites in the area, such as the historic downtown courthouse and other historic homes. Finally, the Society provides educational materials and resources in its research library, as well as a newsletter which provides updates on the Society's activities and events.
