TEXAS WENDISH HERITAGE

GIDDINGS, TX

World's Largest Dime in a Box! I heard “tap, tap, tapping” coming from the “Texas Room” Saturday morning. I was afraid that somehow, a raven had come in through my door… However, it was Alamo Basement Aggie Ring tapping old 1940s Mercury Head Dimes. I knew instantly where he wanted me to drive him.

Not long after, we were in Dime Box, Texas to see the World’s largest “Dime in a Box”. Aggie Ring says that it’s the largest “Dime in a Box” in the known universe! We left a Mercury Dime on the box!

The immense size of the city of Dime Box, Texas was shocking. It’s the New York City of Texas. One could spend days in Dime Box and still not see everything.
