Old Santa Fe Depot (Post, Texas) Historic Santa Fe Depot in Post, Texas. The depot was built in 1910 by the Pecos and Northern Texas Railway (P&NT), a subsidiary of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway (AT&SF). C.W. Post, the town’s founder, gave $50,000 to the railroad for the extension of their line through Garza County. The depot was closed in 1978. It was designated as a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark in 2018.

Between 1909 and 1911, Curtiss designed several depots in Texas, including examples in Lubbock, Snyder and Sweetwater that matched the Post Depot. One of the few Curtiss designs that still exist in the United States, the Post Santa Fe depot represents Post’s early economic development and technological progress.
