The 9/11 Flight Crew Memorial in Grapevine, TX is a lasting tribute to the brave crew members of the four hijacked planes that were flown into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and the field in Pennsylvania on September 11, 2001. The memorial is located in the city’s historic downtown area, and features a life-size bronze statue of five crew members from the four doomed flights. The statue was designed by artist Paul Moore and depicts Flight Attendants CeeCee Lyles and Sandra Bradshaw, Captains Jason Dahl and LeRoy Homer, and Pilot Lorraine Bay.

The Flight Crew Memorial also includes four stainless-steel panels that honor the passengers on board each of the flights. The panels are inscribed with the names of all the crew members and passengers who perished during the attacks. The memorial’s centerpiece is a bronze sculpture of an eagle, with its wings spread wide and its eyes looking skyward. The eagle is surrounded by five granite pillars, each representing the five crew members and their courage.

The memorial was dedicated in 2014, and it serves as a reminder of the tragedy of 9/11 and the sacrifice of those who lost their lives. It is a place of reflection, solace, and remembrance, and is a symbol of the resilience of the American spirit in the face of tragedy.
