The National WASP World War II Museum in Sweetwater, TX, is dedicated to the brave women of the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) who served during World War II. WASP was the first group of women to fly America’s military aircraft and they served in a variety of roles, such as ferrying planes, towing targets, and testing planes.

The museum houses a collection of artifacts, photographs, and stories about the WASP and their service to their country. Visitors can explore the museum’s exhibits, which chronicle the history of the WASP from pre-World War II to the present day. The museum also features a Hall of Honor, which honors the more than 1,100 WASP who served during the war.

The museum also offers various educational programs, including lectures, workshops, and classes. These programs are designed to educate the public about the WASP and the important role that they played during World War II. Additionally, the museum hosts special events throughout the year, such as the Annual WASP Reunion held each June.

The National WASP World War II Museum is a fitting tribute to the brave women who served their country during the war. It is a great place to learn about their service and honor their memory.
