The Frist Center for the Visual Arts is a nonprofit art museum located in downtown Nashville, Tennessee. It opened in April 2001, and has since become one of the city’s premier cultural destinations. The center’s mission is to “inspire people through art to look at their world in new ways.”
The Frist Center is housed in an historic Art Deco building, which underwent extensive renovations prior to its opening. The center features more than 24,000 square feet of gallery space, divided into two floors.
