The United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee, located in Knoxville, Tennessee, is a federal court of the United States. It is one of the three District Courts in Tennessee and is comprised of Carter, Greene, Hancock, Hawkins, Johnson, Sullivan, Unicoi, and Washington Counties. The court has jurisdiction over civil and criminal cases arising under the Constitution and laws of the United States, as well as cases involving diversity of citizenship, bankruptcy, and admiralty.

The Knoxville courthouse was constructed in 1987 and is located in the heart of downtown. It is a modern building with six courtrooms and three magistrate judge courtrooms. Each courtroom is equipped with state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment. In addition to courtrooms, the building also houses chambers for the judges, hearing rooms, meeting and conference rooms, and clerk's office.

The United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee has jurisdiction over most of the state and is presided over by four district judges.
