Wilson County Antique Power Association Inc. (WCAPA) is a non-profit organization located in Brush Creek, Tennessee. The organization was founded in 1974 with the mission of preserving and promoting the history of the agricultural equipment and machinery used in the farming industry in Wilson County. WCAPA is dedicated to preserving the heritage and culture of Wilson County by displaying and operating antique farm equipment and educating the public on the history of the equipment.

WCAPA has an annual “Old Time Farm Days” event held each June. At this event, members and guests can view and operate antique farm machinery, tractors, and wagons. WCAPA also has a museum which houses a wide variety of antique farm equipment. The museum displays tractors, engines, tools, and implements.

WCAPA is a great educational resource for the community and provides educational programs, demonstrations, and seminars to school groups and the general public. In addition, WCAPA is active in the local community, participating in parades and providing educational programs for local organizations.

Cole's Country Store - Byrne, TN Cole's Country Store is over 120 years old and located along U.S. Highway 70N in western Putnam County. According to the sign on the right, it served as the post office for the small community of Byrne. (If you Google it, today it's listed as Baxter.) Temperance Hall Hotel Temperance Hall is a small community in Southern DeKalb County. The community hotel from the mid 1800s predates the name of the town. Several local pro-temperance activists held meetings in the building's large upper chamber, thus the room became Temperance Hall. Eventually, the locals decide to adopt this as the town's name. Today, it is a private residence.
Cedars of Lebanon Cedars of Lebanon State Park is located in Wilson County and is surrounded by the Cedars of Lebanon State Forest. The park is named for eastern red cedar trees found throughout the area. The trees reminded early American settlers of the famed Biblical cedar forests that thrived across Mount Lebanon in what is now the Mediterranean area. Cedars of Lebanon became a state park in 1955. The 1,139-acre park has 117 campsites equipped with picnic tables and grills, and electric and water hookups. A modern group lodge, open year-round for organized groups, has a total sleeping capacity of 80 people. In the 1940s, botanists noticed unique natural ecosystems found in and around Cedars of Lebanon State Park and Forest. These areas are natural rock gardens called limestone glades. The presence of glades is due to limestone rock coming so close to the surface of the ground that it causes the soil to be thin or absent. The small amount of soil that does exist along the cracks and potholes in the limestone slab, has been built up over many years. Water and surface temperatures vary so much throughout the year that a harsh, desert-like, inhospitable habitat is created with its own unique plant community. Nineteen rare and endangered species of plants grow profusely here and nowhere else in the world.
