The Kentfield-Greenbrae Historical Society (KGHS) was founded in 1984 to preserve the history of the two neighboring villages of Kentfield and Greenbrae in Marin County, California. The Society's mission is to educate the public about the unique history of the area, to promote historic preservation and to serve as a resource for the community. KGHS collects, preserves, and interprets artifacts and documents that tell the story of Kentfield and Greenbrae from the late 19th century to the present.

KGHS has an extensive collection of photographs, documents, books, maps and artifacts that are used to provide a window into the past of the two communities. The Society also maintains a genealogy database and a library of local history and genealogy materials. In addition, the Society offers public lectures and guided walking tours of the two villages.

KGHS is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization that is funded through donations from the community, grants and memberships. The Society has an active board of directors and a membership of over 200 people. KGHS works closely with the Marin History Museum to ensure that the history of Kentfield and Greenbrae is shared with the public.
