The Silicon Valley Historic Dance Corp (SVHDC) is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization located in San Jose, California. Founded in 1979, the SVHDC offers classes, demonstrations and workshops in a variety of traditional and modern dance styles from around the world.
The SVHDC is dedicated to preserving and promoting the history and culture of dance in the Silicon Valley region, through classes, performances, and other activities. Through their classes, the SVHDC strives to bring together people from diverse backgrounds, regardless of their experience level, to share in the joy and beauty of dancing.
Classes and workshops are available for all ages and skill levels, including children, teens, and adults. The SVHDC offers classes in ballet, jazz, hip-hop, Latin, Afro-Caribbean, and more. They also host special events and workshops, such as a Valentines Dance, a Halloween Dance, and a Summer Dance.
