Historic Rock Castle is a magnificent mansion and museum located in Hendersonville, Tennessee. The mansion was built in the late 18th century by General Daniel Smith, a prominent military figure during the American Revolutionary War. The mansion was originally constructed as a two-story stone house, but was later expanded to three stories with a brick façade. The mansion features a stunning symmetrical design, with a central entrance flanked by two large wings. The interior of the mansion is lavishly decorated with period furnishings and artwork.

Historic Rock Castle is now operated as a museum, and provides visitors with a glimpse into the lives of early Tennessee settlers. The building is clad in stucco with a cornice featuring modillions and dentils, a two-story portico with fluted ionic columns on the north facade of the building, multi-story bay windows, one-over-one windows, and wings that connect to the Belmont Mansion, which sits to the south of the building.
