The Historic Fort Tejon Foundation is a non-profit organization based in La Crescenta, California, dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of Fort Tejon, a former military outpost located in the Tehachapi Mountains of Kern County. The fort was established in 1854 by the US Army to protect the San Joaquin Valley and the southern route of the California Trail from Native American attacks. It was named after Edward F. Beale's superintendent of Indian affairs, Thomas J. Turner. The fort was abandoned in 1864, after the Civil War and the end of Indian hostilities in the area.

Today, the Historic Fort Tejon Foundation manages the Fort Tejon State Historic Park, which consists of the original adobe buildings and reconstructed barracks, stables, and other structures from the fort's heyday. The park offers a glimpse into the military and civilian life of the mid-19th century, with living history demonstrations, interpretive exhibits, and special events throughout the year. Visitors can tour the museum, participate in guided tours, watch period reenactments, and explore the surrounding natural beauty of Tejon Pass.
