The Mahanoy & Mahantongo Historical & Preservation Society Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the local history and culture of Dalmatia, PA. The society was founded in 2007 and is based in the town of Dalmatia, which is located in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania. The society is focused on collecting, preserving, and interpreting the history of the Mahanoy and Mahantongo Creek watersheds, as well as the towns and villages located within the watershed. The society is committed to protecting the local history and culture of the area, and promoting the preservation of its unique cultural artifacts, buildings, and sites. The society also organizes and sponsors educational programs, lectures, and other events to help inform the public about the history and culture of the region. In addition, the society offers a variety of publications and resources such as books, maps, photographs, and other materials to help educate the public about the history and culture of the Mahanoy and Mahantongo Creek watersheds.
