Vietnam War Memorial in Westminster, CA is a tribute to the brave men and women who served in the Vietnam War. It was erected in 1991 to commemorate the sacrifices of those who fought and died in the war and to honor the courage and dedication of all who served. The memorial consists of two parts: a wall of names and a sculpture of three figures. The wall of names honors the nearly 3,500 Californians who perished during the war. The sculpture was created by artist Peter Goche and depicts three figures, representing the three branches of the military, standing in honor and remembrance of the fallen. The sculpture is surrounded by a landscaped landscape of trees and plants, with a flagpole on either side. The memorial is a place of reflection and remembrance, and serves to remind visitors of the tremendous sacrifice made by those who served our country.
