The DuBois Area Historical Society Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of the history of the DuBois, Pennsylvania area. The organization was founded in 1965 and is currently located in the Old City Hall building in DuBois. The Historical Society collects and preserves documents, photographs, artifacts, and other items related to the history of the area. They also provide educational programs to school groups and the public, as well as host special events such as period reenactments, walking tours, and other activities.

The Society's main facility includes a large research library, exhibit hall, and gift shop. The library contains numerous books, periodicals, and genealogical records related to the region's history. The exhibit hall features artifacts from the area's past, such as photographs, furniture, tools, toys, and other items. The gift shop offers a selection of books and souvenirs for sale.

The Society also maintains several historic sites in the area, including the Old City Hall building, the former DuBois Post Office building, the Old DuBois High School, and the Boyd-Dawson-King homestead. These sites are available for tours and educational programs.

The Historical Society's mission is to promote the appreciation and understanding of the history of the DuBois area by collecting, preserving, and interpreting historical materials, sites, and events. The Society works to preserve the unique history of the area and to provide educational opportunities to the community.
