The Mars Area History & Landmark Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the history, culture, and landmarks of Mars, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1989, the Society has collected hundreds of artifacts and photos of the borough’s rich past, from its earliest settlers to the present day. The Society also works to promote local preservation efforts and to recognize the historical value of Mars and its landmarks.

The Society’s collections feature documents, photographs, and artifacts related to the history of the region. These include the original deed to Mars, artifacts from the early settlers of the area, and documents related to the industries that shaped the borough. The Society also houses an extensive collection of photographs and postcards, which showcase the borough's development over the years.

The Society also works to preserve the borough's historic landmarks, such as the former Mars Railroad Station, the Mars Railroad Bridge, and the old Mars Post Office. The Society works with local businesses, non-profits, and government entities to ensure that these landmarks are preserved for future generations.

In addition to its preservation efforts, the Society holds regular events to educate the public about the history of Mars. These events include lectures, walking tours, and other educational activities. Through its events, the Society works to promote the borough's history and its importance to the wider community.
