The Bucksgahuda and Western Railroad Company was established in Saint Marys, Pennsylvania in 1883. It was a short line railway that operated for over a century, connecting the town of Saint Marys and its surrounding communities to larger cities in the state.

The Bucksgahuda and Western Railroad Company was originally founded to connect the small towns and villages in the area to the Erie and Buffalo Railway, which was a larger line that stretched from Overton to Franklin. The company was able to build a twenty-seven mile stretch of track between Saint Marys and Mt. Jewett.

The Bucksgahuda and Western Railroad Company also ran passenger service, with several trains running each day. The trains were small and only had a few cars, but they provided a reliable means of transportation for residents of the small towns and villages in the area.

The company operated until the early 1990s, when it was forced to close due to declining ridership and rising costs. The tracks were eventually abandoned and the right of way was sold to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

Today, the Bucksgahuda and Western Railroad Company is remembered for providing transportation and economic opportunities to the people of Saint Marys and its surrounding communities for over a century. Although the tracks are now gone, the company's legacy still lives on in the memories of those who experienced the train's service.

The tracks on thge left are to connector to the B&O tracks. The station restoration began in 2012.
