VALLEY FORGE HISTORICAL SOCIETY

The Valley Forge Historical Society (VFHS) was established in 1961 and is located in Plymouth Meeting, PA. It is a nonprofit, volunteer-run organization committed to preserving and interpreting the history of the Valley Forge region of Pennsylvania.

The VFHS is dedicated to educating people about the region’s rich history. This includes the history of the Continental Army’s encampment at Valley Forge during the Revolutionary War, the growth of the region’s industry, and the stories of the people who have shaped the area over the centuries. The VFHS collects, preserves, and interprets artifacts, documents, and photographs related to the Valley Forge region.

The VFHS also organizes and hosts events to promote the history of the region. These include lectures, bus tours, and special programs for schools, community groups, and organizations. The VFHS also provides resources and programming for research and educational purposes.

The VFHS is supported by memberships, donations, and grants. It is a member of the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, the American Association for State and Local History, and the Valley Forge Tourism and Convention Board. Through its work, the VFHS strives to ensure that the history of the Valley Forge region is preserved and shared with future generations.
