The Diamond Rock Octagonal Schoolhouse Preservation is located in Paoli, Pennsylvania and is a unique example of 19th century schoolhouse architecture. The building was originally constructed in 1834 and has since been preserved and restored to its original condition. The two-story building is octagonal in shape and is constructed of local sandstone. The building has eight classrooms and a central stairwell with a dome-shaped ceiling. The interior walls are plastered and the floors are made of wood.
The schoolhouse is surrounded by a well-maintained lawn and several mature trees, which help to create a peaceful and inviting atmosphere. The exterior of the building is also decorated with several period-style details, including a cupola near the apex of the roof and an ornamental iron fence around the perimeter.
The Diamond Rock Octagonal Schoolhouse Preservation is a symbol of Paoli's history and is managed by the Paoli Historical Society.
