Railway Restoration Project 113 is a historic steam locomotive restoration project located in Minersville, Pennsylvania. The project is dedicated to the restoration of the Reading Company's No. 113 steam locomotive, which was built in 1903 and operated in eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey until 1957. The locomotive was later sold to a scrap dealer and eventually made its way to a private collection in Florida.
In 2008, a group of dedicated volunteers purchased the locomotive and began the restoration process. The project involves the complete disassembly of the locomotive, repairing and replacing parts, and rebuilding the engine to its original specifications. The restoration team is comprised of experienced mechanics and machinists who work tirelessly to restore the locomotive to its former glory.
The restoration project has become a community effort, with volunteers and businesses donating time, money, and resources to the project. The restored locomotive will be used for educational purposes, allowing visitors to learn about the importance of steam locomotives in the history of transportation and industry.
