The Sugar Valley Historical Society Inc. (SVHS) is a non-profit organization located in Loganton, Pennsylvania. The Society was founded in 1981 to preserve the history and heritage of the Sugar Valley region, which encompasses parts of Clinton, Lycoming, and Centre Counties. The SVHS’s mission is to collect, preserve, interpret and make available for public use the history and heritage of the Sugar Valley region.

The SVHS is housed in the historic Loganton School, which was built in 1903 and served as a school until it was closed in 1997. The Society maintains a research library, which contains books, documents, and genealogical material related to the Sugar Valley region. The Society also provides a variety of educational services, including lectures, guided tours, field trips, and walking tours.

In addition to its research library, the SVHS operates a museum, which displays artifacts and documents related to the local history. The museum also houses a research center, which provides access to rare books, photographs, and other documents. Visitors can also view the restored Loganton School, which is open for tours during regular business hours.

The SVHS sponsors a variety of events throughout the year, including a Spring Festival, an Antique Car Show, an Art Show, and an Apple Fest. The Society also participates in many community activities, such as the Clinton County Fair and the Lycoming County Fair. The SVHS is an important part of the local community, and its work helps to preserve the history and heritage of the Sugar Valley region.
