The Sullivan County Historical Society in Laporte, Pennsylvania was founded in 1950. The Society is dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of Sullivan County, Pennsylvania. The Society houses numerous artifacts and historical documents, including records of marriages and births, naturalization papers, and local and state histories. The Society also collects photographs, newspapers, books, and other materials relating to the county.
