The Springfield Township Bucks County Historical Society Inc. is a non-profit organization located in Springtown, Pennsylvania that was founded in 1957. Its mission is to collect, preserve, and share the rich history of Springfield Township and the surrounding area.
The Society seeks to promote and preserve the history of Bucks County by collecting and preserving historical artifacts, documents, photographs, and other materials related to the history of the area. The Society also has an extensive collection of books and periodicals, as well as oral histories from local residents.
The Society hosts programs, lectures, and events throughout the year, such as its annual Summer History Conference and its Civil War Commemoration. It also participates in local and regional history fairs, and provides research assistance to the public.
The Society is open to the public on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 AM to 4 PM and on Saturdays from 9 AM to 12 PM. It is located in a historic building in the center of Springtown, PA, and has a small museum and library.
The Society is dedicated to preserving the rich history of Bucks County, and to serve as a resource for generations to come. It is a valuable asset to the community and serves as an important reminder of the past.
