Two bank buildings, Harrisburg, PA I used to take these sorts of building for granted. Now I'm coming to appreciate the history and architecture. The near one was built as the Central Trust Company in 1893 and is now a community center. The one behind was an early midrise built as the Commercial Bank Building (later the Furlow Building) in 1908, with a bank (and later a five-and-ten) in the retail space and fashionable apartments above. It closed in the Great Depression and has now been redeveloped for mixed commercial and residential use.
