The Northampton Township Historical Society in Richboro, PA is dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich history of the area. Founded in 1982, the Society is the only organization devoted to preserving the history of Richboro and its surrounding communities. The Society is based in a former schoolhouse that was built in 1868 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Society collects, preserves, and displays artifacts, photographs, documents, and other materials related to the rich cultural and historical heritage of Northampton Township and its residents. The Society also sponsors educational programs, lectures, and other events. These events are designed to provide an opportunity for members of the community to learn more about their local history and to share their own stories.
The Northampton Township Historical Society also works to promote the preservation of historic buildings in the area. The Society works with the Northampton Township Preservation Committee to identify and preserve the valuable historic resources in the area. The Society and its affiliates are also involved in a number of other activities, such as fund-raising, hosting events, and working with local organizations.
