The Mojave Desert Heritage and Cultural Association (MDHCA) is a non-profit organization in Essex, California, devoted to preserving and promoting the rich cultural and natural heritage of the Mojave Desert. The MDHCA was established in 1996 and is based in the historic Mojave River Valley. Its mission is to educate visitors about the unique and diverse cultural and natural history of the Mojave Desert and to promote the conservation of its archaeological sites, tribal lands, endangered species, and other natural resources.
