Dante's Peak Filming Locations - USGS - Malibu, California Malibu, California The USPS Point Dume Post Office Station in Malibu doubled for the United States Geological Survey office. ------------- The film Dante's Peak was filmed largely in or around the town of Wallace, Idaho in 1996, with additional locations in California. This collection recreates and expands my original 2007 edition, comparing scenes from the movie with their real life counterparts, taken in 2017. Still my favorite movie, enjoy!
