The Montgomery Area Historical Society (MAHS) is located in Montgomery, Pennsylvania and is dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of the local area. The organization was founded in 1976 to collect, preserve and display the unique artifacts, documents and photographs that tell the story of Montgomery’s past.

The MAHS library and archives house a vast array of books, documents, photographs, maps and other materials related to the history of Montgomery. The archives also provide access to a variety of digital resources, including access to newspaper databases, oral histories, and digital copies of documents.

The MAHS also offers a variety of educational programs, including lectures, workshops, field trips, and school programs. The MAHS also hosts an annual Montgomery History Day, which features presentations from local historians and other organizations.

The MAHS is open to the public and offers free admission. Visitors can learn about the history of Montgomery through exhibits, displays, and interactive programs. The MAHS also offers a variety of volunteer opportunities, including research and archival projects, museum and library assistance, and special event assistance.
