Saylor Park Cement Industry is a historic cement manufacturing plant located in Coplay, Pennsylvania. The plant was established in 1891 by David O. Saylor, who invented a new method of producing Portland cement. The plant was one of the largest cement manufacturing facilities in the United States and played a significant role in the growth of the cement industry in the country.

The Saylor Park Cement Industry operated for over a century, producing cement that was used in some of the most iconic buildings and structures across the country, including the Empire State Building and the Panama Canal. The plant was known for its high-quality cement and advanced manufacturing processes.

The Saylor Park Cement Industry was acquired by Essroc Cement Corporation in the 1970s and continued to operate until it was closed in 2016. The closure of the plant marked the end of an era in the cement industry and the loss of a significant part of the local history and economy.

Today, the Saylor Park Cement Industry site is a designated National Historic Landmark and is open for tours and educational visits. The site offers a glimpse into the history of cement manufacturing in the United States and the innovative techniques used to produce high-quality cement.
