The Hermosa Beach Historical Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the history of Hermosa Beach, California. Founded in 1969, the organization has been collecting, preserving, and exhibiting artifacts, documents, and photographs that tell the story of the area.

The Society operates two museums, the Hermosa Beach Museum and the Redondo Beach Historical Museum. The Hermosa Beach Museum is located at the former site of the Hermosa Beach School and features exhibits that tell the story of the city, including its early settlers, the development of the oil industry, and the growth of the local aerospace industry. The Redondo Beach Historical Museum is located in historic Redondo Beach and offers exhibits on the history of the city, including its shipbuilding industry, commercial fishing, and the founding of the Redondo Beach Yacht Club.

The Society holds regular public programs, including a popular lecture series, beach walks, and other educational activities. The Society also hosts an annual Heritage Fair, which features live music, historic reenactments, and craft demonstrations.

The Society is a member of the California Historical Society, and works in collaboration with other local organizations and institutions, including the Hermosa Beach Historical Commission, to protect and promote the history of the area.
