The International Toy Fox Terrier Historical Society in Milton-Freewater, Oregon, was established in 1962 to preserve, promote and protect the Toy Fox Terrier breed. It is the only official registry of the breed in the United States and the only one recognized by the American Kennel Club. Today, the society is dedicated to preserving the breed’s unique traits and protecting the breed’s future.
The society offers a variety of services and resources to its members, including a registry of Toy Fox Terrier pedigrees, health screenings, genetic testing, breeder referrals, and educational information. It hosts an annual Toy Fox Terrier National Specialty Show, as well as other events throughout the year. The society also produces and publishes a newsletter, The Toy Fox Times, which provides news and information about the breed and its activities.
The International Toy Fox Terrier Historical Society is an active member of the Toy Fox Terrier Club of America, the American Kennel Club, and the United Kennel Club. It is also a member of the American Canine Association and the International Canine Association. In addition, the society works in cooperation with local, state and national animal welfare organizations to promote responsible dog ownership and humane treatment of animals.
