The Wynnewood Historical Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the history of Wynnewood, Oklahoma, and the surrounding area. The Society was established in 1988 with the mission to “preserve, protect and promote the history, culture and heritage of Wynnewood and vicinity.”

The Society is housed in an old two-story building in downtown Wynnewood, across the street from the First United Methodist Church. The building is home to an extensive collection of artifacts, photographs, and documents related to the history of Wynnewood, as well as a library of books and periodicals.

The Society also hosts a variety of events throughout the year. These include lectures, workshops, and exhibits on various topics related to Wynnewood’s history. The Society also participates in local parades and festivals and organizes field trips to historic sites in the area.

The Society’s main goal is to promote public awareness and appreciation for Wynnewood’s past. Through its efforts, the Society hopes to ensure that this historic town continues to preserve its rich heritage for future generations.
