The Museum of the Wyandotte Nation is located in Wyandotte, Oklahoma and serves as a repository of the cultural heritage of the Wyandotte Nation. The museum was established in 1997 and is housed in a modern building that was designed to reflect the traditional architecture of the Wyandotte people.

Allen's Conoco - Route 66 - Commerce, OK Allen's Conoco Fillin' Station in Commerce was built ca. 1930 by F.D. Mitchell as a place for travelers to stop along the newly paved Route 66. While it served Conoco fuel gas for the first few years, it became a Phillips 66 Gas Station in 1938. It is rumored that Bonnie & Clyde may have stopped for gas here. Since the green cottage style gas station is built against a red brick wall, it's also known as the "Hole in the Wall Conoco Station." It was closed for many years but was purchased and refurbished as a beloved photo op known for its vibrant green paint with red trim. As a personal note, this is my last Oklahoma or Route 66 photo I'll be uploading for a while. I guess that just means I have to get back out there.
Mickey Mantle Statue - Commerce, OK Mickey Mantle was from Commerce, OK and his town dedicated this statue and the baseball field next door to him. This statue also faces Route 66. As an all-time great, his jersey number of 7 is retired by the New York Yankees. This side calls him a great teammate and the other referenced his local nickname of "Commerce Comet." His name is etched into the base to look like a typewriter. Waylan's Ku-Ku Clock - Miami, OK The Ku-Ku was once a hamburger fast food chain, but Waylan's Ku-Ku along Route 66 in Miami, OK is the last surviving location. The signature design of the building has a ku-ku bird emerging from the front of the building as if it is a Cuckoo clock, although interior expansion makes it harder to get a good view of it. A second ku-ku has been placed by the menu board. And, of course the bird makes an appearance on the neon sign out front. Another thing you don't see at chains - My wife and I got there for supper at 5:15 only to learn they close at 5pm.
