Harbor View Historical Society (HVHS) is located in the small village of Harbor View, Ohio. Founded in 1985, HVHS is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the history and heritage of the area. The Society is staffed by local volunteers and works to collect, preserve, interpret, and share the history of Harbor View and the surrounding communities.

The main focus of the HVHS is the preservation of local artifacts, documents, photographs, and other items of historical significance. In addition, the Society offers educational programs, activities, and events. These range from guided walking tours, museum exhibits, public lectures, and educational classes to special events such as the annual Harbor View Historical Days Festival.

The Society's museum is located in the old Harbor View Firehouse and features a variety of exhibits, including the original artifacts from the 1887 fire that destroyed much of the downtown area. The museum also houses a library containing books, pictures, and maps related to local history.

The HVHS also publishes a quarterly newsletter and annual yearbook, which provide information about the community's history, upcoming events, and current activities. Additionally, the Society produces an online newsletter and publishes books about the history of Harbor View and the surrounding area.

Through its efforts, the HVHS is working to ensure that the rich history and heritage of Harbor View and the surrounding communities are preserved and shared with future generations.

Superior Street, Toledo, OH Built in the late 19th Century and early 20th Century, these buildings demonstrate the variety of architectural styles that can be found throughout Downtown Toledo. The buildings are contributing structures in the Madison Avenue Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998, and expanded to its present size in 2021.
The Ohio Building, Madison Avenue and Superior Street, Toledo, OH Built in 1906, this Beaux Arts and Chicago School-style building was designed by George S. Mills for the Ohio Savings Bank and Trust Company. The building stands 12 stories and 178 feet (52 meters) tall, and was one of the tallest buildings in Toledo at the time of its completion. The building is clad in white terra cotta with replacement windows, large bays on the first and second floors, decorative reliefs, a copper cornice with brackets, dentils, and acroterions, and an arched main entrance bay with a decorative trim surround. The building is a contributing structure in the Madison Avenue Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998, and expanded to its present size in 2021.

The building eventually became home to a branch of KeyBank, which vacated the building in 2015. The building features a limestone-clad exterior with decorative cresting at the parapet, large arched window bays on the second floor of the Madison Avenue facade, plate glass windows at the first floor bays, a front portico with fluted ionic columns and a pediment, a cornice with dentils, and a granite base.
