The Windham Historical Society is a non-profit organization located in Windham, Ohio. Founded in 1974, the Society seeks to preserve and promote the history and culture of Windham and the surrounding area. The Society is located in the Windham Historic District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is home to many historic sites, such as the Windham Civil War Monument, the Windham Union Church, and the Windham Union Cemetery.

The Windham Historical Society is dedicated to collecting, preserving, and interpreting local history, with a focus on the 19th century and earlier. The Society’s collections include a variety of artifacts, documents, photographs, and genealogical materials pertaining to Windham and the surrounding area. The Society also maintains a library and research center, which provides a variety of resources for genealogical research and studies in local history.

The Society is involved in a number of projects, such as the restoration of the Windham Civil War Monument, the restoration of the Windham Union Church, and the preservation of the Windham Union Cemetery. The Society also sponsors educational events, such as lectures and workshops, and hosts an annual Civil War Weekend in Windham.

The Windham Historical Society is supported by membership dues and donations, and is open to the public. The Society is affiliated with the Ohio Historical Society, and is a member of the Ohio Genealogical Society and the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
