The Santa Barbara Zoo is located in Santa Barbara, California. It is located on thirty acres of land overlooking the Pacific Ocean. It is one of the few zoos in the United States that is located directly on the ocean. The zoo houses more than 500 animals in naturalistic habitats. It features more than 180 species, including gorillas, tigers, giraffes, zebras, bears, and other species of mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians.

The zoo offers a variety of educational programs, such as animal enrichment, conservation, and the ZooSchool, a summer camp program for children. Special events, such as the ZooFari, ZooTunes concerts, and Zoo Boo for Halloween, are held throughout the year. The zoo also offers a wide range of activities and amenities, such as a carousel, elephant rides, a train ride, animal shows, and a snack bar.

The Santa Barbara Zoo is open year-round, with the exception of Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. It is open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on weekdays, and from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on weekends and holidays. Admission prices are $19.95 for adults, $15.95 for children (ages 2 to 12), and free for infants. A variety of membership levels are available and discounts are available for seniors, military, and groups of 15 or more.
