Northwood Gratitude & Honor Memorial Inc is a non-profit organization located in Irvine, California. The memorial was established in 2003 to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives serving the United States of America in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. The memorial is a beautiful and serene place that serves as a tribute to the selfless sacrifice of these fallen heroes.
The Northwood Gratitude & Honor Memorial features a wall with the names of over 6,000 service members who have died since the start of the war on terror. The wall is made up of granite panels that are etched with the names of the fallen soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines. The memorial also includes a flagpole that stands tall in the center of the site, along with a bronze sculpture of a soldier kneeling by a battlefield cross.
The memorial is visited by thousands of people each year who come to pay their respects to the brave men and women who lost their lives serving their country. The organization also hosts events throughout the year, including an annual Memorial Day ceremony, to honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
