The Central Historical Area Residents of Massillon (CHARM) is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the history and culture of Massillon, Ohio. Established in 1986, the organization is made up of local residents, historians, and business owners who are passionate about preserving the stories and legacies of the people who built the city.

The organization’s mission is to “preserve and protect the history and culture of the Massillon area through education, conservation, and advocacy.” They work to ensure the preservation of sites and artifacts of historical importance, as well as helping to promote the city’s cultural and heritage events.

CHARM has been responsible for restoring and preserving many of the city’s historic sites and buildings, including the Massillon Museum, the Massillon Public Library, and the Massillon Heritage Center. The organization has also been instrumental in helping the city obtain the necessary funds to renovate the historic Central Presbyterian Church.

CHARM organizes numerous events throughout the year to engage the public and to celebrate the history and culture of Massillon. These events range from lectures, exhibits, and tours to festivals, parades, and much more. The organization also offers educational programs and workshops to help educate the public about the city’s rich history.
