The Huron Historical Society Inc. is an organization dedicated to the preservation, research, and education of the history and culture of Huron, Ohio. Founded in 1981, the Society is dedicated to the collection, preservation, and interpretation of the history and cultural heritage of Huron and its surrounding area. Through the Society, residents and visitors alike can learn about the city’s history and culture.

The Society offers numerous activities, programs, and events throughout the year, including the Huron Historic Downtown Tour, a walking tour of the city’s historic downtown district, which takes visitors through the streets of Huron to learn about the city’s history. The Society also offers educational programs and workshops, such as its “History of Huron” program, which provides an overview of the city’s past, as well as its “Heritage of Huron” program, which focuses on the city’s cultural heritage.
