Friends of Harbour Town (FOHT) is a volunteer-based organization dedicated to the preservation of the historic district of Vermilion, Ohio, located on the shores of Lake Erie. The organization was founded in 2003 to promote the awareness and appreciation of the community’s rich cultural heritage and natural beauty.

FOHT works with the City of Vermilion to ensure the preservation of the area’s historical resources. The group has been a major proponent for the restoration and preservation of the 19th century homes and buildings in the district and has also been involved in the beautification of the lakefront.

The organization also hosts numerous events throughout the year to engage the community and educate people about Vermilion’s vibrant history. FOHT organizes a Summer Concert Series, a Harvest Festival, and other special events. The organization also holds yearly guided walks and lectures to highlight the area’s unique history.

FOHT is committed to helping the City of Vermilion to protect and preserve the historic district of Harbour Town. The organization’s goal is to ensure that the area is maintained and improved for future generations to enjoy.
