6/25/81, Conrail GP38 7807 A pair of Conrail GP38s led by 7807 roll past the gate tower at the West Federal St. crossing in Youngstown, OH. According to my note on the slide to crossing was soon to be eliminated. The smokestacks in the background belong to the Ohio Edison generating plant and the bridge crossings are North Ave. and then Belmont Ave.

6/1/81, Conrail GP38 7794 Built 10/69 as Penn Central 7794, it is hauling the empty hot metal train back to Youngstown from Sharon, PA. At the former Erie yard in Hubbard, OH.

10-14-05, Mill Creek Park, Youngstown, OH The Silver Bridge over Mill Creek.

6-20-23, Midland & Bluegrass GP9 222 Operated as Youngstown &amp; Southeastern Railroad. GP9 222 was built 1/58 as Illinois Central GP9 9368. To Illinois Central Gulf 9005, Mid-South Railroad 9005 then to Indiana Boxcar 222. This Midland &amp; Bluegrass train is hauling construction waste and a couple of covered hoppers south to the landfill in Signal, OH. Here the train is about to go under the South Ave. bridge in Youngstown, OH. The grade here is steep and the three Geeps are working hard. These tracks are the the former Youngstown &amp; Southern which were trolley tracks back in the day.

6-20-23, Ohio Central GP11 8702 Ex. Union Pacific GP9 282. Rebuilt in 1979 by Illinois Central to GP11 8702.
