Located in Pataskala, Ohio, the Historic Pataskala Town Hall is a unique example of a 19th century municipal building. Constructed in 1868, the two-story brick building has been a hub of activity ever since. The building was designed by local architect John M. Wilson and features a simple Italianate style with a low-pitched roof and wide eaves.

The front of the building features a simple entrance portico with a double door. Above the door, an arched window is flanked by two pilasters. The front facade is further decorated with four tall, arched windows. The side and rear facades feature several narrow windows with simple wooden shutters.

Although the building has undergone some renovations over the years, much of the original interior remains intact. The first floor includes a large public meeting room, a mayor’s office, and a clerk’s office. The second floor is mainly used for storage but also includes a large room that was once used as a courtroom.

Today, the Historic Pataskala Town Hall continues to serve as a municipal building, hosting town meetings and other civic events. It is a unique example of 19th century architecture and serves as a reminder of the important role that local government has played in the development of the community.
