The Crestline Roundhouse Preservation Society (CRPS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and restoration of the historic Crestline Roundhouse located in Crestline, Ohio. Founded in 2012, the CRPS is committed to preserving and protecting the historic roundhouse and its surrounding area.

The Crestline Roundhouse was built in 1887 and served as a major hub for many railroads in Ohio and the surrounding areas. It served as a maintenance and repair facility for steam locomotives and passenger cars. The roundhouse was a large brick structure with a turntable, roundhouse stalls, and a machine shop.

The CRPS works to restore and preserve the Crestline Roundhouse and its grounds. This includes restoring the building’s structure, equipment and machinery, repairing the turntable, and restoring the railroad tracks. The society also plans and coordinates fundraising events to support their restoration efforts.

The CRPS is a volunteer-run organization and is always looking for volunteers who are willing to help with the restoration efforts. The society also hosts many educational and family-friendly events throughout the year, such as a Railroad Day Celebration, which includes a train ride, tours of the roundhouse, and a variety of activities for kids.

The Crestline Roundhouse Preservation Society is dedicated to preserving and protecting the historic roundhouse and its surrounding area for future generations to enjoy.
