Campus Martius Museum is located in Marietta, Ohio and is a historical museum that showcases the history of the Ohio River Valley. The museum is housed in two buildings, the Rufus Putnam House and the Ohio Company Land Office, which are both historic buildings that date back to the late 18th century.

The Rufus Putnam House was built in 1788 and was the home of Rufus Putnam, who was a founding member of the Ohio Company and played a significant role in the development of the Northwest Territory. The house has been restored to its original condition and features exhibits that depict the daily life of Rufus Putnam and his family.

The Ohio Company Land Office was built in 1788 and was the headquarters of the Ohio Company, which was responsible for the settlement of Marietta and other parts of the Northwest Territory. Backwater Along the Ohio River at Leith Run Leith Run, a small creek, feeds into the large Ohio River at the Leith Run Recreation Area and Campground. Where the two streams meet, a small backwater forms. This backwater provides dense, still-water cover to many fish and other aquatic species. Frontier Boat Launch The Frontier Boat Launch is located in the national forest’s Marietta Unit, right off Ohio State Route 7. It includes a wide boat launch that can handle two vehicles at the same time, as well as 70 parking spaces for trucks and trailers plus additional parking for cars.
