6/27/81, Ex. C&O 4-8-4 614 The Chessie Safety Express rolls under the US 62 expressway in Youngstown on its way back to Akron, OH.
6/25/81, Conrail GP38 7807 A pair of Conrail GP38s led by 7807 roll past the gate tower at the West Federal St. crossing in Youngstown, OH. According to my note on the slide to crossing was soon to be eliminated. The smokestacks in the background belong to the Ohio Edison generating plant and the bridge crossings are North Ave. and then Belmont Ave.
