The Morton County Historical Society in Glen Ullin, North Dakota, is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving, promoting, and celebrating the rich history of the area. Founded in 1964, the Society serves as a resource center and repository for historical documents, photographs, artifacts, and other materials that tell the stories of Morton County’s past. The Society also operates a museum, which houses a collection of artifacts, photographs, and other memorabilia related to the area’s history.

The mission of the Morton County Historical Society is to promote an appreciation for the history of Morton County by preserving and interpreting its past. The Society seeks to serve as a resource for the community and its visitors by providing access to historical materials, educational programs, and special events. The Society also works to foster an understanding of Morton County’s unique heritage and culture, and to preserve the historical resources of the region.

The Morton County Historical Society is open to the public year round. The Society’s museum is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00pm to 4:00pm and on Saturdays from 9:00am to noon. Admission to the museum is free. The Society also offers a variety of educational programs and special events throughout the year, ranging from lectures and tours to craft classes and exhibits.
